Practice nurses

Jo Toomey, Jane Binding, Elaine Bagwell and Laura Davies.
Our practice nurses work in the medical centre every day.Their duties include:- Our practice nurses also run several of the clinics as detailed earlier. Their special interests are:-

Community nurses

Our community nursing team are employed by the Health Authority to visit patients confined to home. They liaise closely with the Doctors to provide and co-ordinate nursing and medical care following discharge from hospital and for those with prolonged illness.

Community Midwife

Ingrid Bloomfield.
Ingrid holds weekly ante-natal clinics in Warwick House and co-ordinates parentcraft classes. She also visits patients at home when necessary for both ante-natal and post-natal care.

Health visitors

Kay Foxton and Claire Fender.
Our health visitors specialise in the care of mothers, babies and preschool children. They are at Warwick House every day during the week and can be telephoned on 447370.

Counsellor

Patricia Geraghty and Carolyn Excel.
Appointments are made by referral from the doctors for counselling and stress management problems.

Physiotherapist

Fiona Robinson.
Appointments are made by referral from the doctors.

Dietician

Appointments are made by referral from the Doctors for those patients who need dietary advice as an adjunct to their medical care.

Carer Support Worker

Liz Pooley.
Provides advice and support, including benefits available to those people who look after someone with significant disabilities at home. She is based at Warwick House on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and may be contacted direct on 354 167
