Carers

Here at Warwick House Medical Practice we have health coaches who would be happy to meet with you to discuss any concerns and support you through your role as a Carer. They can also provide help and support regarding issues such as emotional well-being and signposting to additional services.

Do you look after someone who could not cope without you?

If you are a Carer then please inform your Surgery. We are here to help.

When you are a carer it is often difficult to have a real break or time off for yourself. You can get tired and run down, and your own health may suffer. Tell your GP that you are a Carer and ask to be put on the carers register.

In most cases the surgery can then:

  • Let you know about other organisations that can help;
  • Offer you a health check;
  • Give you a free flu vaccination;
  • Share information with you about the person you care for to help you in your caring role (when consent form is completed).

Warwick House Medical Practice supports unpaid carers’ and our health coaches are all trained as carers’ champions and can signpost you to support services.

Please contact us for more information.
